Campsite layout

Important Information

Adults (11+ years) R180 per person per night
Kids (3-10 years) R90 per kid per night
River Sites (1-8) Additional R50 per site per day
Weekend Stay Minimum of 2 nights
Long Weekend Stay Minimum of 3 nights
Private Group Booking Minimum of 40 adults per night Minimum of 2 nights stay. Everyone on site still pays per person per night. No private group bookings over long weekends. The R50 river site fee does NOT apply.

Cancellation by Bergenwater Should Bergenwater cancel guest bookings due to natural disasters & unforeseen circumstances – payments already done by guests will automatically apply to guest credit. Credits will only be valid for 6 months, to be redeemed or used. Thereafter it will automatically be cancelled without refund.
  • No dogs or pets
  • No Drones
  • No Day visitors
  • No Music
  • No Motorbikes, quad bikes, fireworks, crackers, fire arms, BB guns are allowed on the property
  • Please consider other guests by keeping the noise levels as low as possible between 22:00-07:00
  • Children must be under supervision at all times – specifically when swimming in the river or doing the hiking trail. Own Risk Areas.
  • The river is a great asset and provides much enjoyment, however broken glass can result in serious injury. It is therefore strictly forbidden to use glassware in and around the river.
  • No throwing of stones or fishing in the swimming area.
  • Only proper bathing costumes are permissible.
  • You enter and use all facilities at your own risk. The owners of Bergenwater will not be held liable for any injuries of damage to any guests or their property while using the hiking trail, 4x4 route, the river or the campsite.
  • Smokers, please throw all cigarette buds in the fire/bins and make sure that all fires are put out before going to bed.
  • No damage to plants/trees, especially not for fire wood.

Wood & Ice No wood or ice for sale. Shops are about 7 min drive from the campsite.
